About the event
On Saturday, July 11th from 10am - noon we will host our first garden tour in King George County along the banks of the Potomac River. The drive there is about 20 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg.
This tour offers the greatest number of natives we have ever had the privilege of visiting on one of our garden tours. The home sits on four acres, with the formal entrance to the home including beautiful fragrant non-natives. The rest of the property is filled with large - very large - native beds; it is a haven for birds and pollinators. During our tour the Turk’s Cap Lilies, Swamp Mallows, Summer Sweet and Bergamot will all be in bloom. All with the extraordinary Potomac as a backdrop.
The tour is easily walkable, with most of the area being wheelchair accessible. If you are willing and able you will be able to meander off…
